This is a US Army WARNORD shell for an infantry platoon or squad leader. This WARNORD shell is based off of the warning order format found in the updated Ranger Handbook (TC 3-21.76) . This product was created based off of feedback from multiple cadets at CST (advanced camp) 2021 whom stated that a WARNORD shell was badly needed and did not exist anywhere.

You should purchase this warning order shell if you are an infantry platoon or squad leader or an Army ROTC cadet. This product takes information made available by the Army and packages into a field useful way. 

The WARNORD Shell is completely weatherproof with thick, 5 mil laminate and fits securely into an OCP pant cargo pocket. The shell is designed to flip like a book so that you can write your order while viewing the doctrinal example.

Is an Army WARNORD Shell the Right Choice for You?

An Army WARNORD Shell is the right choice for you if you are a ROTC Cadet looking to improve your performance. There are many ways to create a WARNO, including simply briefing off the higher HQ order or copying info into your OPORD shell with the intent to change it later as you write your order. This is simply a way to do it, but based on feedback from Cadets at CST 2021, they expressed a demand for it.

How to Use an Army WARNORD Shell

The WARNORD Shell should be utilized when receiving an order from your leader. Utilizing the open space, examples, and five paragraph format enables you to sync with your higher HQ’s order, but make enough notes to “flip” the order to what your subordinates need to know immediately. Our Shell is compatible with our OPORD shell so that if you order both you can simply add them together or keep them separate for ease of use.

Army Order Skeleton Styles

There are many style of Army order Skeletons/Shells. Almost all feature some sort of lamination that enables them to be weatherproof and written on with permanent marker. Ours is completely weatherproof and will not come off in rainwater, but a dab of hand sanitizer or rubbing alcohol will make it good as new. Many leaders choose larger, more comprehensive order skeletons, but for the platoon level and below, much of the space is wasted. Carrying larger order skeletons is bulky and inconvenient, which is why we designed this specifically for platoon, squad, and team leaders. Our shell is designed to conveniently fit into your cargo pocket, assault pack, or front flap/sustainment pouch of your rucksack for easy reference.
